Italian Language Classes


The Italian American Committee on Education and the Columbus Citizens Foundation invite you to learn Italian language and culture. The courses will begin on September 15th and continue through the end of November at a cost of $290. This very favorable price is made possible through the support of the Columbus Citizens Foundation and the Italian government.
Our highly respected and experienced teachers will teach the following courses:

Beginners l: For students who have not studied Italian.
Beginners l(a): For students who have taken a Beginners l class and are comfortable with the Present, Future and some Past (Passato Prossimo).
Beginners 2: For students with at least 2 semesters of Italian and are ready to move on to Past (Passato Prossimo), Imperfect, Conditional.
Intermediate l: Continuation of Beginners 2 with added emphasis on speaking.
Intermediate 2: Advanced Grammar and conversation.
Advanced: For those who have taken all grammar classes and are interested in fine tuning their speaking skills.
• When: Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm starting on September 15th. (11 classes).
• Where: Columbus Citizens Foundation, 8 East 69th Street, NYC (between Madison and 5th Avenues)
• Fee: $290
Materials: For Beginners 1, 1(a), 2 and Intermediate 1: “Italian-A Self-Teaching Guide” by Edoardo A. Lebano. You may also purchase the book on the first day of class.

• Registration: September 15th at the Columbus Citizens Foundation or by mail. We will be available to answer any questions about the courses or your level starting at 5 pm.
