Columbus Day Celebration

The exhibits. The receptions. The floats. The personalities. The crowds!

The week New Yorkers and tourists from the world over stop to be dazzled by the vibrant culture and spectacular achievements of some of the people who made America great.

The spirit of exploration, the struggles and triumphs of immigrants who helped build the United States, and the vibrant heritage and cultural wealth of the Italian-American community, is celebrated during our Annual Columbus Celebration.

We are proud to have had as our 2017 Grand Marshal Leonard Riggio, Founder and Chairman of Barnes & Noble (read our announcement here).

The Columbus Day Celebration events included a black-tie Gala Dinner, the traditional wreath laying with the National Council of Columbian Associations in Civil Service at Columbus Circle, a solemn Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and the world’s largest celebration of Italian-American culture – New York’s Annual Columbus Day Parade, on Fifth Avenue.

The parade airs on WABC-TV New York from noon to 3:00 p.m. in a live broadcast.
