Morgagni Medical Scholarship

The Morgagni Medical Society made its fourth annual generous donation to the Columbus Citizens Foundation from which one (1) medical school student scholarship will be awarded.  The amount awarded will be $10,000 over 4 years ($2,500 per year).

Eligibility: The Morgagni Medical Scholarship is only for incoming first year medical students starting in the fall of 2020. Students need to have an overall college GPA of at least 3.5, and be of Italian descent (at least 50% Italian).

Process: Students interested in receiving the Morgagni Medical Scholarship must submit an application online and the required supporting documents to the Columbus Citizens Foundation. A committee reviews and evaluates the applications and asks selected applicants to visit the Columbus Citizens Foundation for a mandatory interview.

Approximately one month after interviews, the committee decides which applicant will be awarded the scholarship. Applicants are notified by email of the committee’s decision.
